ATHENS, Greece – Greece's army says military and police officers are investigating the disappearance of "military equipment" from a naval facility on the island of Leros, east of the Aegean Sea.
The navy said in a statement on Tuesday that it was discovered that the material was missing Monday afternoon and that an investigation into the incident had been ordered. It did not specify what material was missing.
Reports from the Greek media suggested that the lost material included explosives. The country's anti-terrorist police was participating in the investigation.
